New Wastewater Project in Laibin, China

Existing Water Intake Pumping Station, which capacity shall be enlarged

In July 2016, GKW Consult GmbH was contracted by Laibin Water Group Co. Ltd., Guangxi Province, China, for consultancy services for Henan Water Supply and Sewage Collection Project in Laibin City.

The project scope consists of the construction of a water works with a capacity of 100,000 m³/d including water intake and a booster pumping station, procurement of equipment for a water quality monitoring and dispatching center, as well as construction of a sewage sludge treatment plant with a capacity of 50 m³/d.

The project with a total project investment of approximately 40 million EUR will be co-financed by German KfW. The consultancy services mainly deal with project coordination and monitoring, review of process design and tender documents to assure equipment to be procured with high energy efficiency and superior quality, assistance in tendering, contract management and change orders in the project implementation phase.
