Algeria, Derivation plants and Transfers El Harrach to Douéra

The system is the core of the project to develop the irrigation perimeters for the central Mitidja plain covering 17,180 ha and includes recovering of water from Oued Harrach and filling up the Douéra dam. 

Other positive impacts resulting from the project are valorization of the water resources by infiltrating Mitidja’s ground water, possibility of transfer for West Alger’s water supply and job creation.
