Water Transmission and Distribution Networks
Treated water is mostly pumped from the treatment works to the reservoirs by means of large diameter transmission mains. The water is then distributed to the consumers by gravity or using pumped systems.
Next to the technical and hydraulic challenges, designs of transmission and distribution systems require a careful economic analysis of the investment and operation and maintenance costs. Hydraulic modelling is an important tool to aid in the design and extension of distribution networks.
Our Competencies:
- Design of pumping stations and transmission pipelines
- Design of storage reservoirs and water distribution networks
- Hydraulic modelling of transmission and distribution systems
- Energy efficiency analysis of pumping stations and distribution networks
