We appreciate your interest in a career at our company. The protection of your personal data is very important to us. The following is to inform you about how we process your personal data in connection with the recruiting processes and what your rights are in this regard.
Who is responsible for processing your data?
All personal data from your application and attached documents, in particular contact details as well as information in your CV, your job preferences and your profile, are processed by GKW Consult GmbH, Augustaanlage 67, 68165 Mannheim, Germany as the controller. This is required for the purpose of carrying out our application and recruitment process, in particular by assessing, assigning and forwarding your application. The legal basis for this is section 26(1) German Federal Data Protection Act in the version applicable from 25 May 2018 (“BDSG”) in conjunction with Article 88 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – “GDPR”).
Who is your data shared with?
If you apply to a specific job opening advertised on our website, your data is only provided to GKW Consult GmbH.
For certain technical data processing activities, we also use carefully selected external service providers who meet high standards of data protection and security.
Except where otherwise provided above, we will only pass on your personal data to third parties without your express consent if we are required to do so by law or by administrative or judicial directive.
For how long is your data stored?
Once the recruiting process has been completed your data will be retained for a further six months for evidentiary purposes. The legal basis for this retention is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. After this period your data will be erased from our system. Should you wish to have your data erased before this, you may of course make such a request. To do so, please contact us at Christina.Mueller@gkw-consult.com and we will delete your data from our system as soon as possible.
Your other rights
You have the right to access the personal data stored by us, and provided that the relevant statutory requirements are met, may also request the rectification, erasure or restriction of processing and object to the processing. You also have the right to receive the data you have provided in structured, commonly used and machine-readable form. This includes the right to have these data transferred to a different controller. Where technically feasible, you are also entitled to have your personal data transmitted directly to the other controller. Complaints may be lodged with the competent supervisory authority.
