(Solid) Waste Expert / Project Manager (m/f/d)

Your assignments 

• International waste management expert (solid, industrial, hazardous and medical waste)
• Short- and medium-term assignments in English, French and/or Spanish speaking countries

Your responsibilities

• Working with multidisciplinary teams in waste management projects (planning, design and engineering) in developing and emerging countries 
• Preparation of technical and financial proposals for solid and hazardous waste management projects
• Develop concepts, prepare studies, plans and reports
• Coordinate and carry out tasks in all phases of project life cycle
• Advise and coordinate project partners, maintain and manage contact with client 
• Travel abroad to operation sites (acquisition, preparation and implementation of projects)

Your profile

• University degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or degree of similar level (B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering consulting and waste related projects 
• Experience with International Financing Institutions (IFIs) or bilateral donors such as EU, KfW, GIZ, EIB, World Bank, EBRD 
• Ability to guide project staff in project-related tasks 
• Interdisciplinary networking with international experts from other fields
• Very good command of English language, French and Spanish would be an advantage 
• Very good communication skills 
• Good experience in project and team support ensuring a successful implementation within quality standards, timelines and budgets 
• Willingness to travel abroad
• Confident appearance, open-mindedness and solution-oriented approach towards clients and colleagues
• Sound knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions.
