The second FIDIC Latin America Contract Users' conference took place from 2-4 October 2018 in Panama City. Authors and Legal Experts from the FIDIC Contracts Committee delivered a comprehensive understanding of the key features of the recently launched 2017 FIDIC Suite of Contracts (Red, Yellow and Silver Books).
Offering excellent networking opportunities, this official FIDIC conference presented guidance from the FIDIC Contracts Committee and leading construction law minds on successfully using the FIDIC suite of contracts, managing major projects, handling claims, dispute avoidance & resolution.
In his presentation GKW Consult’s Managing Director Dr. Christoph Theune gave an overview of the FIDIC Gold Book (Design Build Operate) and the forthcoming Bronze Book (Operate Design Build) covering the greenfield and brown field scenario, respectively. He also presented lessons learned from past and ongoing Design Build Operate Projects.
