“Kahramaa enters Guinness Book of Records for largest drinking water storage tank in the world”

The Peninsula, Qatar’s Daily Newspaper, reported on its website that the Water Security Mega Reservoirs Project has achieved a new world record by entering the Guinness Book of Records for Largest Drinking Water Storage Tank.
Tractebel GKW (now GKW Consult), in co-operation with Energoprojekt Entel had supported the project owner Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) as owners engineer in this iconic, large scale, technically outstanding and nationally important multi contract project.
In the approved certificate received by Kahramaa, the Guinness Book of Records indicated that the volume of the largest water tank of its kind in the world is more than 436,000 cubic meters, which qualified Kahramaa to set a new world record that reflects the efficiency of its strategy to enhance water security in Qatar.
