New advisory project in Montenegro signed

Biological reactor of the recently completed wastewater treatment plant

On November 17, GKW Consult was contracted by KfW IPEX-Bank, Frankfurt, Germany, as the Lenders’ Technical Advisor for financing two wastewater treatment plant projects in Eastern Europe.

GKW Consult will advise the lenders regarding the risk management and will represent their interest in accordance with the loan and related agreements.
One of the two wastewater treatment plants has been built recently using advanced activated sludge process for nutrient removal. The second plant will be implemented using a SBR process.

The treated wastewater of both plants shall comply with the European standard 91/271/EEC for sensitive areas. The services are composed of components of a 6-week intensive technical due diligence and a two-year monitoring during construction and plant operation.
