New Environmental Project in India

Beginning of January 2020 Tractebel GKW GmbH (now GKW Consult) has won and signed a consultancy contract for “Establishment and Operationalisation of Project Implementation Unit under Swachh Bharat Mission for Package-III” in the state of Odisha. Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) is a Government of India initiative to fulfill the vision of a cleaner India.

The project envisages achievement of sanitation coverage, improving cleanliness and eliminating open defecation in 42 urban local bodies of 11 districts of Odisha. The total work order for this project is approx.1.0 million EUR and will be implemented over a period of 24 months. The project will start from 1st of March 2020.
