New wastewater project in Palestine

To improve the quality of life of communities around Wadi Al-Samen in Governerate of Hebron, Westbank, the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), with support of Agence Francaise de Développement (AFD) has focused on improved wastewater infrastructure and the utilization of treated sewage effluent, through the “Hebron Regional Wastewater Management Project- Phase 1”.

In March 2019, AFD and the PWA have awarded GKW Consult and its local Partner CEP the design of a 14 km Sewage Conveyance System along Wadi Al Samen to convey the future effluents or sewage from the new Hebron WWTP (under construction) and particularly in connection with the Yatta Municipality to end their sufferings from the hazards and smell arising from the existent open sewage stream.

The project is scheduled to be completed by September 2019 with a duration of only 5 months.

The Contract includes the Concept Study with Assessment of options, Environmental & Social Impact Assessment, Detailed Design and Preparation of Tender Documents
