New Water Supply Project in Ukraine

On 7th of June, GKW Consult together with GFA Consult and Remvodplast Plus, was awarded by Chernivtsi Vodokanal (CVK), Ukraine, with the Municipal Water Infrastructure Project Chernitvtsi, Phase 1.
GKW Consult is lead for services component Phase A (Preparation of Basic/Final Design and Tender Documents, Assistance in Tendering, Contracting and Construction Supervision) while GfA Consult takes main responsibility for Phase B (Support in Improving the Capacities of the Municipal Enterprise).

The project consists of the rehabilitation and extension of water supply facilities in Chernivtsi. The present first phase of the program aims at the improvement of the environmental situation, a contribution to sustainable and environmentally sound management of the regional water resources, a reduction of negative impacts on the health situation of the population in the project region and thus to improve the living conditions of the population. The purpose of the project is to ensure a continuous, sustainable and demand-oriented water supply to the population and other consumers in the selected project area within Chernivtsi.

The project is co-financed by the German Government through KfW, the consulting services are financed by the EU.
