New Water Treatment Project in Burkina Faso

Existing Water Treatment Plant

GKW Consult in association with BLRi, France, was contracted by ONEA, the National Water Company of Burkina Faso, with the management of the implementation works for the Extension and Improvement of the Water Supply System Ziga II in the metropolitan area of Ouagadougou.

The consulting services are financed jointly by ONEA and AfD. The works to be implemented consist of the extension of the existing water treatment plant by 90,000 m³/d, transfer pipeline of DN 1400, storage basins of 6,000 m³ and of the extension of the water supply network (344 km).

GKW Consult will provide full services as FIDIC Engineer starting from assistance in tender evaluation, construction supervision and assistance in the first phase of operation.
