Phase 2 for Water and Sanitation Project in Zimbabwe signed

In June 2014, the contract for phase 2 of the Urgent Water Supply and Sanitation Rehabilitation Project in Zimbabwe was signed.

The project objective is to rehabilitate water supply and sewerage infrastructure in the towns of Harare, Redcliff, Chitungwiza and Ruwa in Zimbabwe, where close to 2 million people will benefit from. The rehabilitation works will include 27.5 km of sewer lines, 78 km of water distribution lines, one water treatment plant, 4 sewerage treatment plants and 9 pumping stations.

The project duration is planned for 27 months. Lahmeyer GKW Consult and its local partner BCHOD will prepare the design and tender documents and execute construction supervision services.
