Sino-German Forum for Economic and Technological Cooperation

On October 10, 2014, Dr. Boshou Pan participated in Berlin in the Sino-German Forum for Economic and Technological Cooperation, jointly organized by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy and the Chinese National Development and Reform Committee. The topic was “Development through Innovation”.

The opening ceremony was followed by four parallel sessions (Energy, Energy Efficiency, Medicinal Biotechnology Technique, and Technique for Environmental Protection and Cyclic Economics). The session “Technique for Environmental Protection and Cyclic Economic” was composed of various presentations on topics such as solid waste treatment through industrial enterprises, urban mining and material recycling, wastewater treatment and reclamation. Within the Sino-German Research & Innovation Program “Clean Water” a cooperation has been agreed in the fields of water supply, wastewater treatment, water resources protection and clean industry production.

The event was completed by a podium discussion, the signature ceremony of bilateral cooperation agreements and contracts, and the closing plenum with speeches by German Chancellor Mrs. Angela Merkel and Chinese Prime Minister Mr. Li Keqiang.
