Niger, Investment Fund for Decentralized Territorial Collectivities (5 phases)

Measures included the rehabilitation and/or construction of rural tracks, anti-erosion measures, watershed management measures, reforestation, and the construction of municipal infrastructure (social, administrative, educational, trading, sanitary).

The measures were completed by cross-over issues, such as sensitization to HIV prevention and the integration of disadvantaged groups, particularly women and youth in rural areas as well as capacity building for communities staff.

  • Support for the national investment fund for municipal infrastructure, ANFICT (organizational consulting, financing)
  • Project cost: about 100 mn EUR in 5 phases.
