Turkey, Wastewater Treatment Plant Kahramanmaraş
The construction of Kahramanmaraş Urban Wastewater Treatment Plan (WWTP) is a major achievement and environmental benefit for the Metropolitan Municipality of Kahramanmaraş as treats all urban wastewaters prior to discharge to the adjacent receiving waters of Sir dam and provides for sound sanitary management and sewage sludge disposal.
The new large-scale WWTP includes mechanical and biological treatment stages (activated sludge) and has been designed to treat daily 111.000 m³ of raw sewage equivalent to a BOD5 load of 35 t/d.
