The project objective was to secure sustainable water supply in 15 municipalities in South-East Tunisia and thus to improve the quality of drinking water based on the desalination of local brackish water. In addition a water treatment plant, located in the island of Jerba, has been equipped with a new reverse osmosis line.

- Strengthening of water resources in Grand Gabès
- Extension of the desalination plant by the implementation of a 4th reverse osmosis line (capacity 7,500 m3/d)
